Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between plated dining and cocktail parties?
Plated dining is typically best for parties under 20. Courses come out one after another in a traditional dinner setting. Cocktail parties are best for groups over 15 and enables guests to stand and mingle. For standing events, we offer passed canapés, grazing boards, and live chef stations. We also offer family style and buffet catering.
Do I really need servers for my small event?
You may be thinking that a server is just someone walking around holding a tray of appetizers, but they are a big part of the prep and cleanup of any event. My servers often help with advance prep the day of the event, set the tables, set up decor, help with plating the food, serve as needed, and clean-up, helping me leave your place better than we found it.
How much notice do I need to give for a catering order?
We usually require several days notice prior to your catering event. This allows enough time to generate your custom menu, book staff, and ensure all ingredients can be sourced in time for your event. At certain times of the year the desert is very busy and we are booked well in advance.
*Chef Joslin values sustainability and locally sources as much food as possible for every dish we create.

What if I have booked but need to cancel my event?
